Birth

“Seedless miracle”

The world is full of living entities such as vegetation, animals and human beings. The variety of living entities is innumerable and widespread. This implies that the variety of seeds needs to be innumerable and widespread as well.

The variety in seeds includes shape, form and colour. It is obvious that seeds are needed to form any variety. The seeds are a variety as well, such as seeds that germinate as vegetation, ovum and sperm are seeds that fertilize into animals and humans.

This is superficial understanding of birth, which is knowledge. There are, however, important aspects of birth that need to be understood deeply rather than superficially. The deep understanding reveals wisdom.

The aspects of birth that need to be deeply understood are: the birth of a seed and birth itself. If seeds give birth to vegetation, animals and humans, which is true, it implies that a seed needs birth to be a seed as well.

Now is there a seed that could have given rise to the first seed is the question that needs to be pondered deeply. It is impossible for the first seed to be born from a seed, because the question of birth of the first seed will still remain unanswered.

This implies that the birth of seed that gives birth to vegetation, animal or a human is a seedless miracle, to mean that a seed is an illusion of light and not an actuality, because energy which is everywhere is light. Light transforms spontaneously as a seed and gives birth to illusory vegetation, animal or a human. This transformation is the miracle of life.

Now, the question of birth itself. Vegetation and an animal do not know that they were given birth by seeds. Only a human understands that the birth of vegetation and animals is because of a vegetable seed and because of a sperm and an ovum, which are seeds.

Humans believe that their birth is due to human seeds, such as a human sperm and a human ovum. This belief is, however, not the truth, because no human has experienced birth himself or herself.

Both those who have experienced giving birth and not having given birth merely assume that their parents have given birth to them. How real could this assumption be, because one can declare birth only if they have experienced birth and not otherwise?

Therefore, birth is an illusion in the evolutionary process of nature. And as every speck of nature is electricity, meaning light, the enlightened have rightly proclaimed that the actuality of birth is an illusion of light.

Editor’s Note:
When the moment of giving birth arrives, be it of a human being, an animal or a bird, those fortunate enough to witness that moment are filled with awe. There is a rise of energy and joy, even for the one giving birth. No less is the moment of the birth of wisdom revealed in this article. Miraculously wisdom is giving birth to itself: fortunate indeed are those witnessing this supreme birth – a moment of enlightenment.

German Translator’s Note:
The moment we are born, our supposed time runs out. This is the common belief. Wisdom however, as presented in this article by Dr. Shankar, “Birth“, reveals that life is a continuous process and birth as well as death are neither a real starting or ending point. The identity of man in between is nevertheless existent as an illusion.
