Refined (3)
“Crude”
When life evolved, everything in life was crude. Understanding in man and woman in the moment was crude too initially and, as evolution progressed, understanding in man and woman in the moment eventually became refined.
The process of refinement of knowledge is a wonder in the evolution of language. Refinement of language is a wonderful expression of the intellect of life in the present moment.
The refined understanding of knowledge with context as a process in evolution gave rise to language. The understanding of knowledge in language was initially crude in the sense that it was not with reason.
Crude understanding of knowledge in language refined as reason in the particular language evolved. Knowledge with reason was initially crude in the sense that knowledge was without logic.
Crude understanding of knowledge in language with reason refined further as logic in the particular language evolved. Knowledge in language eventually was refined in the sense that knowledge was with reason and logic.
Knowledge with reason and logic was crude compared to wisdom in the sense that the reason and logic was superficial and not deep. Knowledge with deep reason and logic eventually refined as wisdom.
Therefore, knowledge with reason and logic was refuted by the logic and reason in wisdom. Wisdom refutes knowledge not as wrong, but as conveying deeper meaning than the meaning conveyed by the same words in the context of knowledge. This signifies that wisdom conveys deeper meaning to the context conveyed by knowledge.
Initially, wisdom was conveyed as statements devoid of detailed explanation. This is evident because ancient scriptures contained statements of wisdom without deep explanation.
Wisdom eventually became refined in modern times in the sense that wisdom was with deep explanation of the statements made by the wise during ancient times, corroborated by the scriptures.
The language of the statements in wisdom was ancient. This eventually became refined in modern language, such as English, which contain detailed explanation of the wisdom which was in the form of statements.
The enlightened have rightly proclaimed that man will come to know what he or she is meant to know and, what he or she is meant to know, is either knowledge or both knowledge and wisdom.

Editor’s Note:
When a mountaineer first sets out to climb, the initial attempts may be arduous and challenging. However, with regular practice, not only is there an improvement in technique from crude to refined, but also a closer relationship with and love for the mountain itself develops. In the regular company of the wise, whether in the context of written texts or spoken words, a closer understanding and ever-deepening love for the essence of the wise and the meaning of their words is evolving, albeit illusory. The pathway towards the summit of realisation is brilliant and true.
