New article: "Meaning of Knowledge and Wisdom"
By Dr. Vijai S Shankar
“where does it come from”
Words have meaning and this is obvious. It is also obvious that words and meanings have evolved in the human mind, because primitive man had neither a word nor its meaning within his mind.
The question is from where does the meaning of the words that reveal wisdom come? It is obvious that words with meanings that reveal knowledge come from memory. So the question is, do words with meanings that reveal wisdom also come from memory? .......read further

The very understanding that life happens by itself is a tremendous phenomenon to happen to anyone and then you become life, then you won't be anxious or uncertain because you know life happens. Life is so uncertain and we wish that it could be certain. Man is constantly rejecting his life and waiting to accept a life which he is expecting to happen, an ideal life. With so much passion Dr. Shankar shares with us life as it is so that you may become life. The satsang has made a deep impression on me as to how to remind myself that life is what it is every day. To not reject life and to understand that whoever is in front of you is existence itself. The parable of the king who wants to meet God is very striking. Very much enjoyed the satsang. Comment article ‘What does free will mean?’ Derek, Cardiff
A wonderful article that brings up a question, that I guess would have no answer.. Is it then, that light having no cause is itself ultimate Cause of all there is? But can ultimate cause be analysed and named with words that are an effect? AOA: Response to Derek
All there is, is a continuous, spontaneous and unpredictable reflection of light without interruption. Cause and effect indicates the presence of interruption; therefore there is neither a real cause nor a real effect of light. In other words, effect of light is a cause and a cause is an effect of light in the same moment, which implies a continuous, spontaneous and unpredictable reflection is an inherent characteristic of light. This indicates the absence of free-will and the presence of an illusory free-will.

Appreciating your Cd's, books and newsletters a lot. In one of the newsletters there was a quote ' a moment in life is a movement. A moment in life is a movement of light and sound'. I have been thinking about this and would appreciate if you could possibly say a few more words about that. Somehow I was under the impression that a moment is stillness, Now, and that movement happened in the moment.now....I appreciate all your help .Thank you. AOA: Response to Sonja
The eternal moment in the real you is stillness.

Truly you are a gift to humanity and there are not enough words or gestures that could adequately express the inexpressible that you are. As I listen to and read what you share, it is amazing what has taken place for me in the way of a continual, deepening understanding. Reading and listening provide the grandest adventure and joyous freshness. Thank you for being and being a part of my life.

Hello Mr. Benerink, I will soon order books. I hope with help of Dr. Shankar I will finally understand the mystery of Existence. It seems through his sharp logic Advaita is accessible even to medium intelligent people like me.
