Every educated or uneducated man and woman wishes, wants and desires to do in life. What they do in life is done in the moment and known in the moment only after the doing is actually done. Whatever the educated or the uneducated man or woman do in life is accepted, applauded, appreciated not only by them, but also by the society. The same is expected every time whatever he or she wishes, wants and desires to do. The acceptance, applause, appreciation and the expectation also happen in the moment and are known in the moment not only to him or her, but also to their society.

The Midas touch: The singular purity of the intelligence of life shines out in this article to reveal the world, albeit illusory, which everything that exists inhabits. The gift of life for everything that exists, albeit illusory, is the journey towards enlightenment. This journey is what it is meant to be for each inhabitant. For those fortunate enough to be touched by the wisdom of Dr. Shankar, these words are the Midas touch of classical mythology, in which the touch turns every moment into gold!
Marcus Stegmaier, Munich
Enlightenment is not an ideal to be attained. This would be completely impossible because, as Dr. Shankar and the Enlightened Beings he mentions share with humanity, man is not the doer to achieve anything. Therefore, enlightenment cannot be made an ideal, even though it happens to the conditioned human mind. It is also obvious that the unconditional acceptance of all men, women and children attributed to the enlightened cannot become an ideal either. Nevertheless, the idealization of the enlightened and the associated feelings of envy and even accusation of arrogance occur. Until the enlightened understanding of life is recognized as independent of the messenger. Life is an illusion of light, sound and colours, not because the enlightened proclaim it, but simply because it is so. This understanding happened to the enlightened and they did not bring the understanding about. In the same manner, it can happen to anyone, if it is meant to happen.

I am stunned how meticulously you are addressing the topics Do, Talk, Speak and Think. Since these are the most conditioned believes in a human mind (that he or she can do, talk, speak and think) it needs obviously a lot of hammering for de-conditioning to happen. Thank you for your continuous articles which explain in utmost clarity that a moment in life and in mind is eternal and every moment there is only movement. The wisdom in your words reveals that men and women neither decide, predict, do, talk, speak nor think. Everything is happening the way it is meant to happen as an illusory appearance of light and sound. Eventually it becomes crystal clear that life is not what we can do, talk, speak or think! Life is a perception, an understanding of what life does, talks, speaks and thinks for us! When this deep understanding is embedded, we can relax and joyfully watch a fascinating life happening. What an amazing trip. My gratitude for these extraordinary articles which rendered peace and a silent smile on my face.

I finally read the articles self-enquiry 1-9. They are beautiful. They deepen the insight that life is beginningless and endless and an admirable illusion of light.

Dear Dr. Shankar,
Thank you for writing the article ‘Predetermined.’ You explain this all along: man and woman come to know only after the known happens in the moment. And now the intelligence in life has also manifested scientific proof, albeit illusory. I very much enjoyed reading the article. And thank you for bringing the interesting website of the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences under our attention.
